Ring refuses to move to Labour

It has been reported today that Mayo Fine Gael deputy Michael Ring has declined an attractive offer to defect to the Labour Party.

The offer, which includes a ministerial position in the next government is said to have been made by leading members of the party including Labour leader Ruari Quinn.
