Ministers travel to border FMD control posts
The ministers for agriculture and justice are visiting foot-and-mouth border control posts in counties Monaghan and Donegal today.
Joe Walsh and John O' Donoghue will also meet foot-and-mouth control centres in both counties.
The ministers will visit controls at Tyholland and Moybridge.
They will then fly by helicopter to Lifford in Co Donegal. Meanwhile, the expert group on foot-and-mouth disease is meeting today.
It is considering easing movement restrictions which farming groups said is essential at this stage.
Test results from suspect foot-and-mouth cases in Dunleer, Co Louth are expected from Pirbright in England later today.
Similar results taken from two animals in Cork are due tomorrow.
The Department of Agriculture has said that it isn't particularly concerned about any of the suspect cases.
