North not safe yet - Rodgers

The North's Agriculture minister Brid Rodgers is warning that the Six Counties may not be declared foot-and-mouth free until the autumn.

She has told the Stormont Agriculture Committee that the North is not out of danger yet.

The minister said there was always the possibity that there could be further hot suspects or a confirmed case.

However, Minister Rodgers says that as long as the numbers are very small, she is confident that the authorites would be able to cope.
