Pedestrian killed in Naas

A pedestrian has died after becoming trapped under a lorry in Naas this afternoon.

Details are sketchy but it is understood the accident happened shortly after 12.30pm, outside Superquinn, in the centre of the town.

The traffic situation in the town is described as 'chaotic' and Gardaí are appealing to motorists to stay away from Naas town centre for the time being.

The dead woman has not yet been named.
