More public spending sought by poverty agency

Higher levels of public spending could help counter wealth inequalities, according to a new book commissioned by the Combat Poverty Agency.

The CPA said Ireland is now one of the most unequal societies in the EU, with one of the lowest levels of public spending in the industrialised world.
