The Callan branch of Macra na Feirme has said it is disappointed that Czech police are not carrying out a murder investigation into the death of a Co Kilkenny farmer.

The branch claims that people's drinks are spiked regularly in Prague and it is only since the Irish media highlighted the issue that police there began to change their attitude.

23-year-old Michael O'Leary was found dead in a field in Prague on Sunday.

It is not yet known when his body will be flown home.

The rest of the Macra party returned home last night.
