Farmers to ask for easing of restrictions for foot-and-mouth

The IFA says pressure on farms has reached crisis point as a result of the last nine week's foot-and-mouth restrictions.

Irish Farmers Association president Tom Parlon is to meet the foot-and-mouth expert group today, to present detailed proposals for the lifting of restrictions.
