Carlow-Kilkenny TD Browne will not stand at next election

Fine Gael TD for Carlow-Kilkenny, John Browne, has announced he will not be contesting the next general election.

Deputy Browne said he had made his decision because he will soon turn 65 and has recently undergone major heart surgery.
