The National Parents Council is demanding an apology from the ASTI following alleged intimidation of its president.

A formal complaint has been made to the union following claims that Marie Danaswamy was verbally abused by teachers on six separate occasions.

Pat Herlihy of the NPC said the incidents had further damaged the relationship between teachers and parents.
