Govt 'will have no credibility' if benchmarking fails teachers
The INTO has warned that if the benchmarking process fails its members the government will have "no credibility at all" with teachers.
INTO General Secretary Joe O'Toole said the union's members may take action if the process does not prove satisfactory.
He said a huge number of the union's membership were sceptical about the process and are taking their lead from the leadership on the issue.
Many are hanging back to see if they can resolve their grievances under the process, he said, but added that the government would be facing "a united organisation" in the event of a dispute.
