mortar bomb found hidden in a Co Tyrone forest over the weekend.

The device, which contained 90kg of home-made explosives, was inside a Toyota Hiace van in Altmore Forest, between Carrickmore and Dungannon.

A hole had been cut in the roof for the mortars to be fired towards their target.

The vehicle was discovered on Thursday after a man living in the area received an anonymous phone call and found the bomb himself, before raising the alarm.
