Man in court today over fatal stabbing

A man is to appear in court in Co Limerick this morning charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of father-of-three David Sheridan in Rathkeale during the early hours of yesterday.

The victim received a number of wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, a man was arrested and questioned by gardai before being released and re-arrested last night.

He will appear at New Castle West court today.
