FMD forces Apprentice Boys to call off disputed march

One of Northern Ireland's most bitterly contested loyalist parades has been called off.

The Apprentice Boys have cancelled their Easter Monday demonstrations because of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

It had been feared their march on Belfast's nationalist Lower Ormeau Road would turn into a sectarian showdown.
