Bail granted to wife murder accused

A 29-year-old Dublin man who was charged with the murder of his wife earlier today has been granted bail at the High Court.

A 29-year-old Dublin man who was charged with the murder of his wife earlier today has been granted bail at the High Court.

Colin Whelan of Balbriggan was granted bail on his own bond of £3,000 and an independent surety of £9,900 at a special High Court sitting at Cloverhill Prison in Clondalkin, Co Dublin.

He must report to Balbriggan Garda Station twice weekly and hand in his passport.

He is also forbidden to contact any of the individuals involved in the case.
