Aer Lingus flights back to normal today

Aer Lingus flights have returned to normal this morning after a strike by 3,000 clerical and operative staff grounded the entire fleet yesterday.

It was the second time in as many weeks that the staff have downed tools in pursuit of an improved pay package.

The Labour Court has now invited Aer Lingus management and SIPTU to talks on Monday aimed at averting another planned 24-hour stoppage on Holy Thursday, just as the Easter Holiday rush gets underway.
