Rescue operation begins off Donegal

A rescue operation is underway off Tory Island on the north Donegal coast.

It is understood a fishing vessel began taking in water and raised the alarm

at 7am.

A helicopter has been sent to Carraig Finn airport, where it will remain on standby in case any of the crew need to be airlifted.

It is not known how many crew are on board, but they are currently trying to offload the water by hand.
