Greens: £10m needed to reinvigorate tourist sector
The Green Party has called for a £10m investment in tourism to kickstart the sector in the wake of the foot-and-mouth crisis.
Party leader Trevor Sargent said major events such as the St Patrick's Day festival should be re-scheduled.
He said the worst of the foot-and-mouth situation has now passed and he is hopeful that the final all-clear will be given by April 19.
