High Court asked to review Gilligan's prison conditions

Lawyers for John Gilligan have asked the High Court to grant a judicial review into the conditions of his imprisonment at Portlaoise Jail.

Gilligan who is serving a 28-year sentence, is presently being detained in a bunker.

He also has had other privileges withdrawn following an alleged assault on a prison officer.
