'Let them die', Bloody Sunday soldiers told helpers
Soldiers asked to help a wounded man and woman on Bloody Sunday replied "let them die", the inquiry into the shootings has been told.
Anna Nelis said that two of the injured, mother-of-fourteen Peggy Deery and Michael Bridge, were brought to her house following the shootings.
She ran to the local chemist and then phoned for another ambulance from another house.
She said she then approached two soldiers because she was worried about Mrs Deery, who was badly wounded.
She brought them into the house, where one of the soldiers used obscene language towards those present.
"He said: 'Let the whore bleed to death'", Mrs Nelis said.
