Dukes points out need for day-to-day farming operations

Fine Gael’s spokesman for Agriculture, Alan Dukes, is calling on Minister Joe Walsh to investigate the viability of proposals that would facilitate farming, while maintaining foot and mouth precautions.

Mr Dukes says that there is an urgent need for measures to allow day-to-day operations to continue on farms, and that Minister Walsh should consult with the specially appointed committee to carry out an assessment of a number of proposals.
