Aer Lingus hit by one-day strike

The majority of Aer Lingus flights were being grounded today as clerical and operations staff stage a one-day strike over pay.

Around 20,000 passengers are set to be affected as all flights, with the exception of incoming transatlantic routes, are cancelled.
