Vessel detained for alleged illegal fishing

The naval vessel the LE Orla detained a Northern Ireland-registered vessel for alleged illegal fishing off the Co Louth coast this afternoon.

The Rebecca Elizabeth was boarded 20 miles east of Drogheda on suspicion of fishing inside the cod exclusion zone.
