Local electorate feel sympathy for Beverly Cooper-Flynn
The Chairman of the Co Mayo branch of Fianna Fail says there is sympathy among the electorate for Beverly Cooper-Flynn.
The Mayo TD earlier announced her resignation from the Public Accounts Committee after losing her libel action against RTE last week. Ms Cooper-Flynn. said she felt it appropriate to tender her resignation to the committee.
The chairman of Co Mayo Fianna Fail, George O'Malley, said her resignation or the result of her court case have yet to be discussed at local level but there was sympathy for her among the Castlebar electorate.
