Family escapes unharmed after car hits house

A Co. Kildare family had a lucky escape last night after a car crashed into their home and burst into flames.

Two units of the fire brigade rescued one occupant who was trapped in the house in Athgarvan, Newbridge after the crash.

Neighbours helped other occupants out of the house before the fire services arrived.
