Cooper-Flynn loses libel case

The jury in the Cooper Flynn case have reached a verdict.

Ms Cooper Flynn has lost her libel action.

The jury had to decide whether the Mayo TD had induced retired farmer James Howard to evade tax. They decided she had not.

But they decided she did advise others or encourage others to evade tax.

They also decided that the material broadcast by RTE did not affect her reputation.
