Ahern 'mistaken' on compensation refusal - SIPTU

SIPTU has criticised the Taoiseach's refusal to compensate non-farming industries who have suffered losses as a result of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

The union's general secretary Des Geraghty warned that Bertie Ahern is "very mistaken" if he thinks he can give preferential treatment to one group.
