The Small Firms Association has called for an interest rate cut of a half of one per cent in order to sustain business confidence in Ireland in the wake of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

The Small Firms Association has called for an interest rate cut of a half of one per cent in order to sustain business confidence in Ireland in the wake of the foot-and-mouth crisis.

SFA Director Pat Delaney said the full impact of the crisis would not be known until July.
