An attempt will be made later this morning to refloat a trawler that has run aground off the west Cork port of Castletownbere.

There were five crew on board the 23-metre Ocean Reaper when she ran aground, but just one crew member remains on board.

High tide is expected shortly after 10am.

Meanwhile, a woman who fell ill on a ferry which was diverted from Rosslare to Dublin because of storms has been airlifted to Tallaght hospital.

The coastguard helicopter based at Dublin Airport carried out the operation
