Heroin seized in Bettystown, Co Meath

Heroin with a street value of IR£100,000 and more than IR£100,000 in cash has been seized.

It follows a raid by armed gardai on an apartment and a mobile home in the Bettystown area of East Meath early today.

Two men and a woman all in their 20s have been arrested and are being held at garda stations in Kevin Street and Kilmainham.

The pre-dawn raid followed a lengthy surveillance operation by gardai from Dublin's south inner city.
