Govt imposes ban on French animal imports

The Government has announced a ban on French animal imports following confirmation of a second foot and mouth case in France today.

Minister for Agriculture Joe Walsh said the news of the two cases, along with a suspect one in Italy, proved the need for more vigilance among the public.
