At the Beverly Cooper-Flynn libel action trial in the High Court today, two former colleagues at the National Irish Bank have given conflicting accounts of offshore investment schemes.

Nigel Darcy, an executive with the bank, said that an offshore investment scheme run by the bank was not for Irish residents, while his former colleague, Patrick Cooney, disagreed with this.
