Fine Gael chairman of trustees resigns
The Fine Gael chairman of the party trustees has resigned in the wake of the controversy over the attempted corporate donation of $50,000 by Telenor to the party.
Buddy Kiernan stepped down last night as both chairman and as a trustee of the party after it emerged that he was the only member of the trustees who knew that the cheque had been returned to the party by Telenor . This despite Fine Gael's refusal of the donation.
