Govt to have new powers over rogue animal dealers

Emergency legislation to deal with rogue livestock dealers and traders is to be presented to the Cabinet this morning.

The legislation has been prepared by the Attorney General, Michael McDowell, at the request of the government as part of its anti-foot and mouth measures.
