Department of Agriculture and IFA to meet today

As the massive operation to defend against the spread of foot and mouth disease from the North continues, the Department of Agriculture is expected to announce further restrictions on the movement of all animals.

A meeting between the Irish Farmers Association and the Department is due to get underway this morning.
