Pipe bomb blast at taxi depot

There are fears of renewed loyalist violence after a pipe bomb was thrown into a taxi depot in north Belfast last night.

There were no injuries.

The owner of the depot, Jackie Mahood, was once a member of the Progressive Unionist Party, but broke from them and has since been linked to an anti-Agreement loyalist group.

Mr Mahood is blaming the UVF for the bombing, saying he has been shot twice since he left the PUP, his brother has been killed and his family intimidated.
