Trucks jack-knife as roads deteriorate

Further problems are being reported on the country's roads as surface conditions worsen.

Many areas are reported as being dangerous, with motorists advised to remain indoors unless their journeys are extremely necessary.

Meath's Ballybin Road is blocked between Ratoath and Rath Cross after a truck jack-knifed. A similar accident has occurred on the Swords to Ashbourne Road at Dunamore Church, blocking the road completely.

No injuries have been reported.
