Driver remains in custody over Cavan murder

Gardai in Co Cavan are continuing to question a 39-year-old following the murder of a man in Crosskeys early this morning.

A security man working at the Carrick Springs Hotel was fatally injured when he was hit by a car shortly after midnight.

The dead man has not been named, but is understood to be local.

The suspect was arrested a short distance from the scene of the crime.
