Pig farmers told to check pigs in North

Pig farmers in the North are being asked to examine their livestock after England's Foot and Mouth disease outbreak.

Some pigs sent to the abattoir at the centre of the alert arrived from the six counties.

The North's Department of Agriculture is urging farmers to call in vets if in doubt about animals’ health.
