Newry security alert continues
A security operation is continuing along the Dublin-Belfast railway line near Newry amid fears that it may have been the target of a mortar attack.
The line was closed yesterday after two loud explosions were heard.
The British Army says the current security situation is delaying the search and the re-opening of the line.
Thousands of rugby fans returning from yesterday’s international at Lansdowne were hit by the disruption and had to find their own way to and from the match.
