Sinn Fein has said there is little point in a Belfast summit to discuss RUC reform because no progress has been made on the issue.

The party's assemblyman Gerry Kelly said while Sinn Fein has no problem with such summits, they were only worthwhile if they would produce a new beginning to policing.
