Tragic mother and child named

The young mother who died hours after the death of her 13-month-old baby following a house fire in Bray has been named.

27-year-old Teresa Cahill and her son Chris were at home in Oldcourt Avenue when the blaze broke out at 10am on Sunday.

Firefighters rescued a number of occupants from the house, including children aged 3, 4 and 17.

The boy was transferred to Crumlin Hospital, where he died at 1am yesterday, while his mother died during the afternoon.
