McCreevy objects to Ireland being singled out by EU

Mr McCreevy said the EU’s actions over Ireland would have great relevance to Britain.

‘‘I am reluctant to start advising the British people, but I think that Ireland and the UK have an awful lot in common and I think people will be looking to see what happens in the Irish situation,’’ he told the Today programme.
