The Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers Association has said it is confident that Ireland will be exempted from the T-bone steak ban as it fulfills the rules set out by the European Commission.

Following a meeting with Commissioner David Byrne, ICMSA President Pat O'Rourke said not a single BSE case had been recorded in over 40,000 tests on cattle over thirty months old.
