A journalist has told the Special Criminal Court he had the "most bizarre conversation" of his life with murder accused John Gilligan, a month after the murder of Veronica Guerin.

Paul Williams, crime correspondent with the Sunday World, told the court how he rang Gilligan's wife Geraldine on June 28th 1996 and was given a mobile number to ring.
