Airlift underway of possible stroke victim

The Dauphin Rescue helicopter based in Sligo has been dispatched to the aid of an elderly man on Inishbofin island off Co Donegal.

The Dauphin Rescue helicopter based in Sligo has been dispatched to the aid of an elderly man on Inishbofin island off Co Donegal.

It is understood the 88-year-old may have suffered a stroke.

He is expected to be transferred to Galway Regional Hospital.
