British Midland keen to resolve picket dispute

British Midland airline has said it will continue to do everything in its power to ensure a successful conclusion to a strike by a group of its staff at Dublin Airport.

The 80 picketers are protesting at proposals by British Midland to transfer ground handling services at Dublin and a number of UK airports to another firm, Gatwick Handling International.

The strikers said they have not been offered enough compensation for the move, despite talks with the company.

All British Midland flights are going ahead today, although they may be subject to some delay.
