Dawn Meats workers accept redundancy package

Workers at the Dawn Meats plant in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, have voted to accept a redundancy package negotiated by their union SIPTU, and management.

The 32 workers concerned will receive four weeks for each year of service in addition to statutory entitlements, with a special provision for workers who are at the plant for less than two years.
