Quinn wants Lawlor's resignation - now

The opposition is upping the pressure on the Taoiseach to force the resignation of imprisoned TD Liam Lawlor.

Labour leader Ruairi Quinn said suggestions from Bertie Ahern that the Dail would hold back on a call for Deputy Lawlor to resign until November are now untenable.

He has asked Bertie Ahern to allow the Dail to call for Mr Lawlor's immediate resignation.
