One dead in Ispat Steel fire
One man has died in a fire at the Ispat Steel plant in Cork Harbour.
Some 10 units of Cork Fire Brigade have brought the blaze under control.
It broke out in a chemical laboratory at the old Irish Steel factory at Haulbowline.
A second worker was injured in the blaze, which caused extensive damage.
The scene of the fire remains sealed off and fire fighters are expected to remain on-site for most of the day.
