Hearing on Adair release to continue tomorrow

In the North, the Sentences Review Commission is to continue tomorrow its hearing on whether loyalist Johnny Adair should be kept in jail.

Lawyers for Adair today argued that a preliminary decision to free him should be upheld, despite advice from the RUC and the Northern Ireland Office that he should remain in prison.
